Lake Effect

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time and had Marc T as our server. He was so great and bubbly The food was absolutely delicious, the pancakes-to die for. The sausage?? Amazing. I don’t know what seasoning they use on their sausage and home fries but it’s delicious. The SIZE OF FOOD?! amazing! Such a great place for it’s price. Would give more stars if it was possible. We will be going back soon!

We went here for brunch this past Sunday just before noon. Naturally, this is a very busy time, and there is very little room to wait since this is an actual diner, After about a 10 minutes, we were seated and had a great breakfast. Everything was very good, and the coffee was excellent. The host/manager had a good sense of humor despite the hectic atmosphere, and our server, Meredith, was really good, friendly, and efficient. Also, the menu has many choices, and everything is available all day - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Definitely worth the wait.

Michigander searching for breakfast spots near my hotel yesterday (3/16/2021) came across Lake Effect and another place. Was getting ready to go to the other spot and something told me strongly to try Lake Effect, I’M GLAD I DID!!! I ordered three 3-3-3’s and forgot my money, they respectfully put my order through still while I went back to my room to grab my wallet. When I got back I added one more 3-3-3 and waited about 15-20 minutes for the food to be cooked, which wasn’t bad on the account of the place being semi busy. When I got back to my hotel I ended up noticing that we were missing a set of pancakes, so I called told them who I was and before I could say anything more the guy immediately told me that they had my pancakes and will hold on to them for me (that made me happy). It took me sometime to pick the pancakes up but when I got back to get them the cook offered to make me a fresh batch but I declined because I had to get back to the room immediately ALTHOUGH I truly did appreciate him for that. Staff on shift 3/16/2021 were AWESOME!!! I don’t know what type of meat those sausages that I got were but when I say I ate every single sausage that I had I SMASHED them bad babies. OH MY GOD!!! sausages were awesome, eggs were on point, pancakes were delicious and HUGE. I’m glad I went there I MOST DEFINITELY got my money’s worth. I had over a $60 order and no food went to waste, we even brought pancakes home LOL. Too bad they were closed when we went back to get some food before leaving New York.

Okay! The fact that they don't take over phone takeout orders is cool however then to charge a conveniences fee for ordering online is not okay! The portions were decent, I loved the home fries, the steak was good however a little over cooked to be medium well! Pancake were a little on the tough side my steak was softer and the steak was on the thick side!

Hungry, looking for a good place to still eat a good breakfast. It wasn't good, it was great! (11 o'clock) A bit high price but service was spot on. Clean and sanitized, counter service and friendly waitress. (Brinae?)
