South Amboy Police Department

I have had terrible encounters with police in my day and it has left me jaded. I moved to old bridge a year ago and I can't speak higher of the Officers from my neighborhood. The men i have met are kind and caring. I truly have found a new respect. I got excited while nearing my house the other night and drove around an officer, totally unintentionally. I just wanted to go home. The Officer lit me up and informed me of my error and I was very embarrassed. My closest friends are first responders and I meant absolutely no disrespect. The kind Officer said he just wanted me to get home safely and let me carry on. Honestly, I'm so blown away by his demonstration of true heroism that I am at a loss for words. I hope one day I can be a great man like that Officer. Salute

I wish the laws applied to everyone.. In South Amboy it's who you know not the truth being told..nnI was in an accident and the girl in front of me had a cell in her hands... The officer never put that on my police report and it made me at fault to the insurance companies involved...nTried to get it ammended and left numerous messages....NO WORD!.... TURNS OUT THE GIRLS DADDY WORKS FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND IT LOOKS LIKE A CASE OF WHO YOU KNOW..nnI WILL BE MARCHING THIS SPRING WITH OVER 800 FOLKS CAUSE I WANT THE TRUTH TOLD!.... I AM NOT A BAD DRIVER... AND THAT GIRL WILL BE PLAYED A.S.A.P.

If possible, I would have given no stars. I don't know whats more of a joke the so called pd or the officers that work there. No respect, untrained and uneducated are a few of the words that sum them up. Just a bunch of wanna be cops with guns and badges
