I had shopped Northern Tool before, but didn't realize they had a store in Rochester. So one order, I ordered it and had it shipped to the store. Now we stop, just to browse/shop almost every time we are in Rochester!! We love Northern Tool. The staff is always extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Ordering on line is a breeze as it is a very user friendly website. I choose to pick up items that I order in Rochester, MN as it saves me shipping and to also check out the hot deals in the store!!! Great service
I was impressed with the inventory. My needs are for a DIY small acreage situation so hardware stores don't always carry heavier duty items. Found what I needed. Staff was very helpful.
Ordered a heater online and soon after the order I got an email offering it for a better price and a gift card of over $50.00. I contacted the 800 number and was told that it could be there any day so he could not cancel it. He said to call the store which I did. They informed me that they could not adjust it to the new price offered. Once the first heater arrived to the store I had to call back to the 800 number, get a return authorization code, and have the store ship it back. Then order a new one online to get the sale price and start the process all over again.. What a waste of time and work on everyone's part! Ordering a new one was not a big deal but what a pain for everyone involved. Corporate really needs to get it together and figure a better system as it certainly can't be cost effective doing it this way.
Great variety of home improvement products at very competitive prices. Sales reps are helpful and friendly. Northern Tool Rochester is my first stop for tarps, safety equipment, tools, gas cans and more!
