The Winnebago Museum is a wonderful step into the past of this town and surrounding area. I did not grow up in this area and I enjoy every visit to look around and learn from the early Indian artifacts to the many displays and staged rooms telling the story of how this area was settled and has grown and changed. Some of the displays are seasonal, so there seems to be something new to enjoy every couple months. I think the dedication to preserving this town's history is well done!

The Winnebago Area Museum is a wonderful repository of local history showcasing everything from buggies to uniforms to Native American artifacts. Well worth the stop.

This small-town gem holds unique and interesting collections and remnants of those living in the area in days gone by, thoughtfully curated and beautifully displayed. It also contains a research and records center and serves as an event venue.

It is very interesting with a lot of tribal information as well as history of area with artifacts found and used in area. Lots of homemade tools from the Pioneer era. Well worth the trip.

If you have any connections to Winnebago, this museum will bring back memories. Also has a genealogy room.
