Excellent place to learn about nature, science, history, art, astrology and more! I love the small exhibits throughout this museum. I learned about native Indian ways and how they lived and tools they used. My favorite is the rock exhibit. I love learning about where the various rocks are found on Earth and when they were discovered.nThe planetarium is not to be missed either. Learning about constellations or if one is fortunate enough to see a light show with songs by a very famous progressive rock band.nGreat for kids of any age.
although this is not as big as some museums, it is a perfect place to spend all day, even have a picnic by the major trails, and learn about every topic there is to learn about. I love how interactive this place is and it's not just full of things to look at and read. There are activities for everybody to take part in. And the planetarium is really amazing too
The kids had a great time. The staff was helpful, friendly, and informative. I loved the smaller group settings as I didn't feel crowded and had more than enough time to view everything. Will definitely go again.
Me and my husband visited for our anniversary date, we’ve never been before. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable.. but toward the end of our tour, staff started to literally follow us and shoo us out the door. Told us to stop taking pictures and it was time to go. I didn’t know we had a time limit. We had to skip the last half of the exhibits and it just wasn’t worth the trip because we both were really looking forward to the new biology exhibit and dinosaurs. It was uncomfortable. But what we did see of the museum was very nice. We might give it a try again after COVID.
Cranbrook is a great establishment with not only a rich history, but a wealth of knowledge and artifacts! From actual meteorites to dinosaur bone casts, they have a ton of great displays where everything is well kept and provides a ton of information. Love bringing our kids here to learn and take part in the activities!
