If I could reply to people’s comments directly I would. The majority of the complaints against this department come from people committing a crime. How about don’t speed in a construction zone in the first place and you you wouldn’t have an issue. What makes you so special that it’s okay to put other’s lives in danger so you can get somewhere two minutes faster? Get real. And a small fender bender on the side of the road and you are mad the cop doesn’t stop? Are you psychic? How do you know that officer wasn’t headed to a serious accident with life threatening injuries?

Response time, caring service and genuine human interaction are lacking. Our police are hasty and ready to do anything when it comes to detainment, charging and arrests, in the event a citizen is wrongdoing. However when it comes to helping and servicing citizens on routine police tasks (car accidents, event control and safety) our police department is lacking in general emotion and care towards the citizens of the city they are "serving and protecting." I always treat our department with the utmost respect, and more often than not I feel belittled.

Motorcycle cop injured during lane filtering. The filtering is only to be done... IF SAFE TO DO SO. So the motorcycle cop was at fault? It was evidently NOT SAFE TO FILTER. Will the charges for improper lane filtering 1) be leveled against the officer 2) affect the officer's future motorcycle use 3) increase the moto officer's insurance Or will the WHOLE THING be wiped under the badge? Meanwhile, a civilian motorcycle rider incurring the same Shituation will face charges, fines, etc... There was never a full campaign to inform the public about lane filtering legalities. Utah an opportunity and Ufailed to see it through. ---Deputy Marshall Raylan Givens.

My mom got into an accident at night earlier this week and got her car towed. She was very worried. The nice cop drove her home and kept her talking about happy topics. She felt really comfortable and better by the time she arrived. Thank you and keep up the great work. We appreciate your service West Jordan Police Department. God bless!
