Interesting, worth the 15 minutes it takes to walk around.nIf you like sailing ships, the caretaker may be a lot of fun to chat with.

Very cool wooden ship reconstruction from 1607 being built and everyone can visit close up!

Love the rebuilding of the Virginia, and especially how they are doing it. This project deserves more publicity for how authentic it is and how much it ties into the state's history.

Great experience for the family, school group, or homeschoolers, as well as those who are interested in shipbuilding. Maine’s First Ship is endeavoring to build a replica of the Virginia, a 30 tonne pinnace that was originally constructed in 1607 Popham Colony, making it the first “known” or recorded English built vessel in the United States.nnTheir are limited hours so be sure to check their website! Go on the right day and they may be working on the ship!nnSmall selection of artifacts from the Popham colony as well as a diorama!

Very interesting to see and learn about. It's worth checking out all you're in bath.
