Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the time I stepped foot in the door for my tour. Katelynn and John has been two of my main people of contact and they have been very helpful with answering any questions I have. I can’t wait to take a hard hat tour soon and to move in. The place looks awesome already.

Would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. We were told the the utilities would be included in the lease price but when it came time to pay our rent we were charged a money extra fee for utilities. We were also told that the bedrooms were all the same size (we could view the ape in person before renting it because of COVID)....they are not. One bedroom is big, one medium, and the third is tiny. All renters pay the same price regardless of the size of the bedroom they have. We were misled bu the agents of this apartment complex.

Avoid at all costs - as many have said below, when you move out, they try to screw you. There will be very small issues when you move in - knicks on the walls or just weird stains on furniture. There's of course no one available to walk you through and note these when you move in, and the same when you move out. Then they send a collections agency after you to try to get you to pay for everything when you move out. It's a complete scam. Do not live here! Plenty of other options in South Bend for cheaper.

Even though the location was nice and amenities were great, I did not like how I was treated, and here is WHY...nWhen I moved into this apartment around October, there were already people living in the unit. The common area was far from being clean as there was left-over food in the fridge, spices/seasonings in the cabinets, broken dishwasher, stains all over the floor, and all these were done by the previous tenants as my roommates would tell me later. Now moving out since my friend, our other roommate, and I were the last people, we did our best to clean the common area though may be not to their standards and remember when we all moved into this unit it was already mess.nDespite all of that, I got a $611 charge to my account due to not cleaning and damages done to the common area (how absurd).nI called the account manager asking him/her to explain to me what was going on. they told me that since my friend (who also got $500+ charge) and I were the last people to move out we were responsible to clean the place but not our other roommate and how do I know that because I called him and asked him in person just to verify if he got charged.nEither way I asked the accountant why they would charged just me and my friend even though we were the last people to moved in and we did our best to clean it even though we moved in a very messy common area to begin with and the accountant would not give us any explanation.nEither way, they reduced charges but refused to split the charges amongst all the people lived in the apartment since our leases were all ending at the same time so my friend and I paid all the damages.nnTo sum it up, I felt that my friend and I were singled out by the property management and I don't why my because we were different who knows...nnIf you are going to sign lease with this people make sure the common area is a clean or at least have something on the record BEFORE.

While I did appreciate some of the amenities Edge had to offer and really did like the apartments themselves, my problem with the complex lies with its staff, and in particular, their communication abilities. When I was moving out, I attempted to reach anyone in the office using emails and phone calls to no answer, but when I eventually made my way over to the office, there were three employees sitting around chatting, ignoring the phones ringing. It's incredibly unprofessional and frustrating when you just want a quick clarification. Additionally, I moved out in early May and was incredibly surprised to get a bill in late June with charges for things that I wasn't responsible for. After being told that communications would only proceed over email for legal reasons (which I understand), I had to wait weeks to get a response to only one of my list of concerns, which is frustrating, especially when it was done at no fault of my own. Overall, the apartments are decent, but the company tries to screw you over when you're trying to move out. They need to work on improving their communications with their tenants.
