I was apprehensive about staying here because I had stayed in this building 20 years ago when it was a run-down Best Western. My concerns were for naught. Everything was great. The room was clean, all appliances worked, and the room was quiet. Tap at the front desk was very personable and helpful. It was very convenient to have one of the few restaurants in the county only a few steps away. Unfortunately the gas station right next door is closed but there is a station less than a mile away. If work sends me this way again, I will definitely choose this hotel over driving up to Anna, IL
Owner very polite. When he said he would have coffee and donuts for breakfast I thought it would be from a local bakery but it was not. Bed too bouncy gave me back pain. Toilet very low. Price too high for all those flaws. And no toiletries to offer or water . I was exhausted so I just took it. He does offer booze in fridge behind counter. The coffee was fresh and hot but not delightful for my taste. Room huge. Room very clean and did not smell like disgusting. Lastly they leave a envelope asking if I want to tip housekeeping.
Definitely a value. The bonus is in the staff. Warm, caring, accommodating, helpful. We plan to return.
The owner was polite. The room was clean with amenities, toiletries, microwave, fridge, hair dryer. Parking was easy and the room rate was good. Coffee was available in the morning, but not breakfast due to Covid restrictions. Overall, very pleased.
We took the last room for the evening..even though it was asmoking room and we don't smoke..it smelled horrid..iused my deodorant spray the cut the awful stench. Husband found dried blood on fitted bottom sheet..Once home had to rewash all clothing in suitcase due to smoke fill. Table light did not work..we had stopped 10 other hotels and no vacancies
