If you’ve been following my reviews you know the best place to do business is where people are involved and like working with customers.nnRobinsons Hardware is such a place.nnNeeded a Honda Generator after an online order with a national company failed to arrive.nnCalled Robinsons....someone pleasantly answered the phone and happily found Jeff who let me know how I could back order a generator or there was a similar generator in the store.nnWas in the store in about an hour. Needed to wait just a few minutes....Jeff showed me the generator and made sure I understood what accessories were needed for my situation. No pressure.nnJeff then, in a matter of fact no nonsense manner, quickly setup the generator, added oil, and fuel, and explained how to start it.nnWe then went to the parking lot and started the generator.nnQuickly loaded it into the car and was on my way.nnIn and out fast!
Today I sent to buy a ladder at Robinsons. One of the associates, Christophe, assisted me and then offered to drop the ladder off at my home when I realized it wouldn't fit in my small SUV. He then used the ladder to change the battery of the garage fire alarm, almost 12 feet high. I tried to get him to take a small gratuity, given how much he had gone out of his way to help me, but he refused. I tried to insist, but he refused. It's associates like Christophe who make bring home the importance of supporting our locally-owned businesses, rather than the big-box stores. With so many bad things happening in the world lately, the kindness Christophe showed to me meant a lot.
Always a pleasure going there. Family owned with pleasant employees and awesome selection of your hardware needs.
These guys are amazing. It's like the opposite of the big box stores. They are super knowledgeable and willing to help with whatever you are looking for. Great job!!
I hate to admit it but I messed up my lawn mower (over filled the oil). Robinsons has a services center and they were AMAZING! The fact that the longer the oil sits in the engine overflowing can cause more damage if not address quickly - their urgency was on the same page as me. The service guy was great and friendly and I hate that I did not get his name.nnThe price was reasonable and it really made me think why I go to a big box chain store when I can get great service in a smaller shop that has everything I need at similar prices.nnI highly recommend this hardware / service store.
