I love all my polices..East boston. Very friendly and angry too
A little sense of friendliness and willingness to help the tax payer that technically pay their salary would go a long way for this police department. It's like pulling teeth trying to get an answer from them. It feels like they are doing us a favor and they are very quick to dismiss you. #sad
I came here at least 3 times tried to get a copy of the parking ticket the officer cited me, but oh boy, almost everyone I ran into, I found it was so challenged to talk to. The lady officer at the front desk was not helpful at all. She talked as if I was a criminal. If anyone ever dreamed to become a police officer when they were young (like how I used to), to become a hero who always wants to help innocent resident, you will lose that dream from coming here. What a nightmare because the reality is most of these officers I talked to, they didn't want to help me.nnLong story short, I legally parked my car before I went on for a vacation, but the next day some construction people did some work on my street and towed my car. They didn't post their sign within the 48 hour notice mark. The office came down cited me a ticket after banging my door without an answer (because I was on vacation duh!). The ticket was blown away from the tow. When I came to the city for a hearing, they denied my hearing request because I didn't have a ticket. They asked me to talk to the officer to get a copy from his book. Now, the police station does not want to help and the ticket is not in the system, I am stuck here suck up the $150 fee from the towing company.nnHow disappointed!
Always terse on the phone. Community service officers off on weekends. Understaffed. Old facility. Not enough walking patrols.
I wish you complainers would stop complaining. Complaining about parking tickets? Really? The thing is the E. Boston Police District A-7 have a lot to deal with on a day to day basis. I seriously doubt that any one of you complainers could do their job. Give them a break and know that when matters most (robberies, shootings, murders, et cetera) the police will be handling those type cases rather than by comparison, parking tickets.
