My wife and I were meeting our grandson in transit from his NH Camp stay at Terminal A today to escort him to his Delta flight home to CA. want to extend our thanks to Trooper Joe Grant for providing us (and many other folks we saw him assisting in the check-in and baggage drop/special services areas) with invaluable, personal assistance in enabling us to check our Grandson in, and obtain My wife's escort paper work, in time for the flight, in the face of the interminable lines and delays at Delta Airlines in Terminal A this afternoon. While there primarily on detail for security and safety purposes, It was clear that he was providing all this assistance to many people willingly and with good humor. Well done, Trooper Grant.

On Thursday 8/31/17 my wife and I were traveling to Vermont via Boston Logan. We received our rental car from Hertz. The car smelled horrible and the charging ports didn't work. We then picked a different car. About an hour into our drive, we stopped for lunch. It was then my wife realized she left her purse with money, ID, credit cards and personal items in the first rental car. We tried Hertz who were less than helpful. I called the State Police and spoke to Sgt. Duffy. I told him our story. He said he would get right on it. He dispatched a car to the Hertz facility. I was the called by the responding officer, Sgt. Tackett. He got more information from me. Fifteen minutes later, he had the purse! He retrieved it from the first rental car. He called me immediately; confirmed all the contents and brought the purse to the barracks. He offered to hold it till we returned on Sunday if need be. We returned to Logan and Sgt. Duffy was there with the purse. This was above and beyond what anyone would do. The Massachusetts State Police are professional, helpful and friendly. Thank you so much. JBC
