One of the best small museums I’ve ever seen. Entertaining for the whole family. Very interactive and full of information. They did a great job by presenting history and science in simple and interesting ways. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon with my family. Staff was polite and helpful as well. Highly recommend whether you plan to have a tour of the ship or not.
We had not planned on devoting so much time to the museum here, but the exhibits were some of the most diverse and engaging we have seen. Definitely worth the entry fee. I would imagine those with children would be especially appreciative of the design of this museum. They also offer military discounts.nnAt the time, they were only allowing visitors to get on the USS constitution on the weekends, so be sure and check before you go. We made a trip back and it was worth it.
PROS: I like the fact the ship was free to go on and the museum was very affordable. The museum had some original stuff on it which made me happy to see since the boat was restored and nothing is original from it. The staff was very nice too and the place was scrubbed cleannnCONS: The museum didn't really have that much of a variety of things. It was mainly just 30% original stuff from crew and 70% interactive games for children, videos, and blurbs on the wall. The ship tour just showed the gun room and thats it (but since it was free what do you expect)nnOVERALL: I'd come by this place again to check it out if I was with a history buff. But if History isn't your thing, don't come here
Very informative. Would definitely go back!!!
It was a nice sight however more then a few lights were burned out. I didn't expect it to be where it was. However the picture come out great. There should be a time limit on standing in the middle so everyone can get a great shot. I would return tho.
