Warning for those flying out of Terminal D, the food options are extremely limited before you check your bags, and some International flights don’t let you check in till the evening. And once you go into the “flight” area you cannot go back to check your bags when they open up to check them. This can be tough on long layovers. If you are connecting from Love field you might want eat at Love. Once your bag is checked there are a couple more restaurants and the Flying Saucer, where I am listening to young female vocalist with a lovely winning voice.
Fast inter terminal transfer.
It's a good idea to get priority boarding if you're on a tight schedule. TSA is pleasant at this location and the terminal is clean.
