Friendly, helpful staff and manager. Great place to get a key copied and pick up snacks. They have a lot of neat hardward, cables, tools, misc tools, etc that you need but HD does not carry. If you're in the area, definitely worth dropping in or giving them a call.
While the selection is fairly limited, and tends to focus on more immediate small end needs for the locals (mostly office workers), I have found this place to be indispensable for those things I need and just don't have the time or energy to go to a big box store for. Pricing is remarkably reasonable given the rapid gentrification of this area. I only hope they can remain open long term in the face of that gentrification.nnThe guys behind the counter are friendly, and helpful, and don't look down their noses at us poor benighted white collar types.nnWhen my wife misplaces my (smaller) tools, this place is my go-to spot since it's so close to my work. If it seems like I can't say enough good things about this place, well... it's true. Looking forward to more patronage here :)
Customer service is second to none! They have me and my company for life, and I'll be recommending my friends who are involved with the theater up here in NH to select Backstage Hardware for all of their production needs. Jim and his crew are the best!
I recently had some problem with my sink and I discovered that the issue is with the tube's ring. Since I'm not very handy and I have no idea what the thing is called, I came here hoping someone to help me locate the part. And I didn't disappoint, their staff is friendly and located the exact part I was looking for in matter of minutes.
This place is useless, unless you want candy or a snack. It may as well be called Backstage Snack Shop with some hardware but never what you need and cranky employees. I hope it goes out of business and a real hardware store moves in.
