I am sad to read that other comment :( my daughter is in 1st grade here and we love it. The curriculum far exceeds that of the public school she was going to. The class is diverse, as in all races, not just two. The faculty is wonderful! Extra curricular activities are fun and educational. There isn't any bullying like there was at the public school, but maybe that's only true for 1st grade. I'm not sure. We shall see.
I liked the education program so I enrolled my son. So far so good with enrollment. Everyone was super nice and answered all my questions. They also let me speak to teachers and staff. Although there seemed to be a little hiccup with him getting in the GT program, they were very quick to resolve it. His classmates were so sweet and helped him to his seat. They introduced themselves and were happy to see and talk to him. I was really happy about that. Making him feel welcome is also very important. I will do another review in the winter or next year in January for a 6 month update.
My son is going there for few years. This school was in the top 10 of All Schools in Texas. Their focus is on Science, Math and Readings which is what most kids need. My son is an Honor student and he loves it there. And yes to achieve this status the Kids work a lot harder here too.
