There is a spectacular view of downtown Rockwood and the river from here. It is a surprisingly busy pace, with a constant stream of people on a cold day. There are several picnic tables here for sitting ro enjoy the view. Alas, there is a ton of graffiti and vandalism here too...the picnic tables are covered with paint and the tower that holds the star is missing stairs and also covered with paint. There are fences with barbed wire and no trespassing signs all around...kind of ruining the ambiance. I'm hopeful that they can get things cleaned up and the tower reopened down the road.

Great place. If your brave enough you can climb the tower like I did. However, it was kind of dangerous since the first flight of stairs had no wood on it so I had to step on the metal supports that would hold the wood up. There was one section where there was no wood on the platform and you have to CAREFULLY step across it. Once you get to the top, the reward is amazing!

Amazing place to go to if you like gazing onto the horizon. Overlooks part of Rockwood and parts of Catoosa, this place is also near Ozone Falls.

I love this place, but it should be fixed up and made into a park with easy walking trails and a nice restaurant with great views, maybe even a museum. My mom used to drive up there often, enjoying the amazing view. It deserves a five star rating, but it's just too shabby and run down. If you don't mind the run down trashy things up there, it's worth at least driving there to see the amazing view.

Very beautiful place, great place to get pictures, specially if you have a drone to use.
