This place was really cool, but we would have liked to have been able to go inside the cabin since it is a museum but could not find the days and times it is open anywhere. We got over there and were able to walk to Belle Starr's gravesite which was really neat to see! We just wish we could have gone in the museum.
It is private owned and maintained by owner alot of poison ivy so be careful but wort the time to visit
This was a cool place to see but the trail wasn't very well marked to go up and see the gravesite so I docked a star. There also isn't a ton of information on Belle Starr so you have to know it before you go. If you're a fan of hers, I recommend it, but if you're not, do some research and you'll become a fan, then visit.
Historic gravesite of the legendary Queen of the Outlaws. Only gravesite on Youngers Bend trail. The hike is not a long one and is to the left of the sign just off the road and her restored cabin is on a short walk to the right of the beginning. The trail is a nice walk to her gravesite and it has a few signposts along the way. Worth the visit and not many come here.
