Great tour. I absolutely loved learning all about it. I also love that there's still so much to learn! I hope they are successful in preserving this important piece of history and that it continues to stand right where it is. There's a lot to be said that the Pope home remains one of the last standing physical pieces depicting the black story in the area. Dr. MT Pope withstood so much to tell his story and my hope is that the story continues to be told and heard by all.
Interesting, informative and fascinating. Dr. Pope was an incredible man and we lived learning about his many achievements while touring his home. Definitely stop by! Only took us 30/40 minutes for the whole experience.
I had such a great and educational experience at this Historical site! Mr. Pope was ahead of his time. So many things to learn about the property.
This is a wonderful Museum. Been trying to get here for a year and finally visited and it was worth the wait. Only open on Saturdays for tours for a few hours but I highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed my visit. I think they're only open on Saturday so check the schedule before you go. The tour guides were super. the free tour takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Be sure to stop by here as it's walking distance to most of the other attractions downtown.
