Great place to see history of our little town
Great small town museum. Great staff to assist with any questions. Very interesting.
Lovely museum. Small so it doesn't take a while to get through. Gale is a nice thorough tour guide.
It's always to pleasure to visit historical events. The staff is always so accommodating and welcoming. I love the new displays and the history from and about Harnett County.
Is it going to touch museum after our family Christmas was such a great experience. Gail Sorrel and Linda Butler did a fantastic job looking for the Stuart name in the history of coach and found many interesting factors from the fact that my grandfather ran a general store in downtown Coats and also let the town put the first jail in Coats North Carolina in the back of his store but you can still see the bars on that particular store in the downtown area. This town is just waiting to be revamped. Malcolm Stewart was a councilman for the town and also served on the school board .. I also learned that the business I own today La Salon was named by Godfrey Beasley who was a sign painter and he painted the first LA SALON on a building that my mother rented in Fuquay and 1968 where she opened herself as a hairstylist. Being a prominent woman and owning a business in 1968 was a challenge that my mother was always ready to take on.. she went on to own many businesses and prove to be quite a good business woman in the town of Fuquay and Apex.. as the coach Museum grows it will also contain this new information about La Salon. And now we give credit to someone I never knew deserved the credit for the name of my business while Salon in downtown Apex since 1973.. I strongly suggest you go to your small town and see if there is information about your family and all the things that they did when you were not alive.. it was an amazing adventure I cannot think the curators enough for going the extra mile and looking up and talking with us about the Stewart family and all of their representation of Coats..
