Today I casually spoke with an officer at the gas station. He was extremely down to earth, definitely not arrogant or condescending. I don’t understand why the police get so much hate. I just wanted to thank you for your service & express my gratitude....I have nothing but respect for what you do.

I work for a local business and needed a form filled out by a local officer. I called the Brookline Police Dispatch, spoke with an officer and explained what I needed. He was very pleasant and said no problem.nnI get there within 20 min of the conversation and wait at the front dispatch desk for 10 minutes without seeing a soul. Then the officer who finally comes out was extremely rude and dismissive when I explained everything. I tried telling him I spoke with someone who said they could help and he could not be any less interested.nnI bit my lip, politely thanked him for his help and walked out the front door angry that I wasted almost an hour away from the office.nnWhat a great way to interact with your community.

received a parking ticket for $200 charged to lease when I've never been in to the town and haven't been in the state for years. No due diligence before charging people and hassle trying to sort out how this happened. This is not a reflection of the officers as I have never met any of them since I or my car have never been to the town.nnI called to get information to appeal and was very rudely told to call back at business hours which I can understand, but the attitude was unecessary. Given that I work longer than their business hours are open it does make it hard to address a ticket that I should not have received and how is someone to know that calling after hours would be completely worthless.
