I have been a loyal customer of this store for the past four years. In the past I have received excellent customer service. This past time, not so much. They sold me a defective lock, which closed shut and would not open (four people tried). I asked to borrow lock cutters so that I could cut off the lock so that I could return/replace the lock with one that is not defective. Unfortunately they would not loan me lock cutters, so there was no way to get the defective lock back to ACE in order to return it without having to buy a lock cutter from them. Next time I'll choose the hardware store down the block.
This store can be intimidating if you happen to be in there with a bunch of contractors, but everyone is friendly and helpful. They can also recommend great places for anything they don't have.
It's a wonderful place I always found anything I needed huge assortment and friendly helpful employees.
