While driving around sightseeing in Lake Charles; we stumbled upon this place. It’s a nice place to take a walk by the water. Great place for a picnic and enjoy the view. Nearby is Cypress Pond which is a fenced off area of water that inhabits alligators. We were there about 15 minutes and nearly walked away disappointed; when a 4 foot alligator popped up for some air. I wished we saw more of them, but still worthy place to stop by.

It's nice for tourists if they're just passing through and don't want to go where the real alligators are it'll do but it's nothing compared to if you go to the real swamps

Gate was not unlocked but could still see alligators

.. Nice and relaxing.. Good place to go sit at the benches and eat a little lunch while watching the water..

This location was beautiful and peaceful. My kids enjoyed making a quick stop during our travels.
