This station gets such a low score because of the accessibility issue. If you are traveling via wheelchair or have some kind of mobility issue it will be difficult to access because the station is only accessible through stairs. The MBTA has plans to improve accessibility along this commuter rail line, How long it takes my be difficult to tell.nnOtherwise, the Newtonville commuter rail line stop is a good way to travel into Boston and Worcester. If you're traveling to Boston the train ultimately stops at South Station, This is important to know because any northern travel from Boston requires you to travel by foot, can, or light rail to North Station.

Long side platform with entrances at Walnut Street and Harvard Street over the Mass Pike (I-90). No elevator or staff. Never crowded.
