We reported a scam operation happening in Newton shopping areas. The dispatcher promptly sent an officer to my home to record the details. Both the dispatcher and the officer were complete professionals, pleasant, courteous and thorough. The officer offered what limited information he could including reassurance that I was doing everything correctly. It was a confidence building experience, for which the Newton Police deserve our support and respect.

When I was working as a case manger, I dreaded coming to visit my clients in Newton. The police officers used to follow me and pull me over without reason. I was asked what I am doing driving in Newton, and asked where my clients live.nnI have a lot of hate and resentment towards the Newton police. The police feel this is a private organization and forget that as a tax payer and an American I have the right to drive in peace without being made to feel as a criminal.nnThis police force needs to be closely monitored, and every minority should have camera mounted on their cars when they drive thru Newton. I have a lot of respect for firefighters and regularly support them; I have love and support for EMS. I find the police the most corrupt and disgraced profession.

We visited the Newton Police Department to have our car seat inspected. Firstly they promptly returned the call, clearly explained the process followed and carried out the inspection in full honesty. My wife and I were extremely pleased by the service. Thank you!

Appreciate the police presence on busy Newtonville roads. I'm hoping to see more oversight at the intersection of Harvard and Washington Streets now that Garden Remedies will be open for recreational sales. Almost every car coming out of Harvard Street will turn right on a red light despite the clear signage, and will even drive through walk signals while pedestrians are attempting to cross. Those who don't are honked at. Newton drivers need to start facing consequences if they endanger other peoples' lives.
