Farmer Tom gives a great tour and is wonderful with children. We had two adults, a 7 year old and 4 year old. All of us loved the tour and would recommend to others when back in the area. We held and fed the chickens, fed and pet the goats, pigs, and bunny. And, even planted a seed. My favorite part was how Farmer Tom talked about how animals need love and how we were helping provide that to them!

We planned a visit to the farm while we were in the area , we were not expecting much since we have been to other farms and been disappointed. The farm exceeded our expectations in everyway. Our children are homeschooled and this was perfect for them . They were engaged the entire time and able to be hands on with all the animals . The owner was very knowledgeable , friendly and accommodating . I highly recommend this farm to anyone in the area . We still talk about the farm to this day !

Attended on a trip for my daughters pre k class and boy were we not disappointed!! I’m stuck between seeing and learning everything that Farmer Tom and Julie taught us BUT Tom has the bubbliest fantastic personality to be around kids! We throughly enjoyed every minute. He also sells eggs and meats

This is more than a petting zoo! It is an adventure on a small farm in Virginia. Even the drive there is exceptional. There is nothing more beautiful than the Virginia countryside!nThe scenery on the farm is absolutely stunning. You will find the urge to just stand where you are and take it all in-several times while on the farm. The farm has a big lake, right now there are 3 cool goats, 3 huge pigs, piglets and bigger piglets, lots of free roaming hens, roosters, and turkeys. Little baby chicks, 2 wonderful dogs. There's 2 cats that if your lucky you will see. It's very hands on. You get to have the whole small farm experience & the farmer, Tom is very knowledgeable and kind. He's very patient with and answers every question with ease. He clearly loves his animals and has a passion for small farming. He even has meats and eggs for sale-and they are the best! It's the place I go to for every egg I eat, and majority of my pork and chicken. (Protip: I'm know undercutting my braut-buying capabilities, but Im not selfish so I'll share with you all: when he has brautwurst available buy them. The best brauts I've ever had!!) Oh and in the warmer months the farm has a beautiful garden full of the prettiest and tastiest produce around. It's really worth the beautiful drive to experience this sweet little farm. It's welcoming to kids and adults and group tours as well! Or if you just want to buy some really tasty meats and or eggs it's a good place to start. Especially the eggs!!!! They are the best eggs I've ever eaten in my life. No joke y'all, the Best.Eggs.Ever.
