Clean and plenty of parking

Small town, honey dew donuts has a bathroom. There is a commuter rail station to Boston.

Allot of parking but it still gets filled up by 9am, train is always late when dropping off. Sometimes we wait 20 min linger then the quoted time. What a disaster. Kids on train smoking pot and drinking alcohol. Bad maintained services.nnWhat do people do if there is no parking left?

Easy parking, inbound and outbound travelling easy.

So I'm thrilled that Ashland has a Rail Station. I just moved here in 2016 and was happy to know that I could walk 8/10s of a mile if I had to or take Lyft to The station if my wife couldn't take me.The Service is good overall, but the Framingham Worcester Line has had issues with on time efficiency. I would plan extra time in case of the delays if you're commuting to Boston. In other words take the train that gives you a time cushion. I use this a lot to go to weeknight Red Sox games as well so it is convenient. Here's the thing, I'm handicapped. While my handicap is a cardiac issue, I also have a bad back and knees. When they built the station for ADA requirements, no elevator was built. That means you have to use those long ramps to get over to the Inbound platform if you park or come in from Pleasant St... If you don't, you're doing it in reverse when you come home. So there is always one crossover regardless. And if you're handicapped, it's difficult and tedious. The way they built this ADA station in 2002 was with the bare minimum without elevators. There are handicapped spots but they fill up as well. Parking is plentiful but you're better off getting there early or securing a monthly spot at the Inn there. The other thing is that many trains on this line terminate or originate in Framingham and don't stop here. Certain times of the day you get more service if you go to Framingham instead. Handicapped Parking is better there and there is Elevator service there. Framingham has much better ADA facilities, but there are homeless people that hang out there that will go into cars if you forget to lock it. Ashland is safe overall and a nice town. The station is 8/10s of a mile from Ashland Center and in the middle of nowhere if you're doing a reverse commute. Tommy's Taxi in Framingham serves Ashland as Ashland has NO Taxi Service in their town. Lyft or Uber is suggested. The other thing is that if you want to walk on the approach road going towards the Donut Shop and Route 135, it is desolate and dark. Cirrus Apartments which are awesome Luxury Apartments are being built now on that approach road that advertise the convenience of the train will not provide much light for you if you're walking at Night. There are Bike Racks there if you want to bike there. I'm confident enough to leave my bike there because it is safe overall.
