Norwegian Cruise Line

The cruise was great ! I would give it 5 stars but the luau had great entertainment but by the time they called our table most of the food was GONE! I asked for them to refill the meat and was told that was all they had.I pretty much had rice and mashed potatoes for dinner. I then went to the dessert table to get dessert before it was gone only to find out all but one item was left. We booked this luau through Norwegian and paid for it months ago so they knew exactly how many people were coming.I would NOT recommend that you waste your money on the luau if you intend to get food. The rest of the cruise was perfect. The food on the ship was great. The ship was very nice and super clean. The staff was wonderful!

The ship was very clean and well maintained. Our Steward was amazingly attentive. The food was just great. I've been on a few cruises and variety was very nice. The staff were cheerful and friendly. Entertainment was good. Only con was if you want a cocktail with alcohol, you better order a double. And for what you're paying, drinks should be at least standard.

While we're on the topic of mess, don't ransack your cabin and let your room steward deal with the aftermath. Dirty clothes go in a closet, a laundry bag or in your suitcase -- not on the floor. Cruise dailies and other papers should be piled neatly or trashed, not spread around every surface. Shoes go in a corner if they can't stay in the closet, not somewhere your steward can trip on them. We're not saying you have to be a neat freak, but a few minutes of picking up each morning will have your hardworking cabin steward breathing a sigh of relief.

I will never use this cruise line again. They are strictly low end and not customer friendly. Any issue on board is met with stonewalling. If they don't want to deal with the public they should go into a different line of work. Part of our cruise was cancelled and they treated it as if we should be happy we were still going.

The Norwegian Cruise Line has a ship dedicated to the Hawaiian Islands. It's home port is Honolulu and it circles the islands every week. If you are short of vacation time you can have a complete hawain vacation in a brief time. An older ship but the food, staff and entertainment are top notch. Every day is a different port. Aloha
