Drums of the Pacific Lu'au

We were completely thrilled with Leyla! Leyla is the banquet manager for the Hyatt. She was absolutely wonderful. She was so passionate about making sure every detail was perfect. Hyatt is very lucky to have her! For those that have been to Hawaii since the pandemic, the service hasn’t been as the best. Tonight made a HIGE difference in our vacation. Thanks Leyla and thanks for making sure your team are professional and as detailed as you!

We had a VIP table and this was our first luau.nWhen you first get to the luau it's amazing. They take your picture, get you a drink and take you to your table. Our experience it went down hill from here. We seen other table get their food and get more drinks. We stopped a waiter to get water and it never came. I finally walked to the bar and got it. When we got our food I asked the waiter for another drink. He said nothing but did come back with a drink ud83eudd37‍♀ufe0f we could hear the other waiters telling the guest about the food and what it was but ours did none of this.nThe show was amazing and so much fun. I was a little disappointed it ended at 745 but says it goes till 830.nOther then that it was fun. I would check out a different luau next time.

We loved the show but felt the portion before the show where they serve the food was very rushed. The food and beverages were ok, we had better at many of the restaurants. Before we could finish the first course, our main course was already brought to the table and same thing happened with the dessert. The show didn't start until all the food was served and cleaned up. I've been to luaus with better food and drink options as well as being able to eat while the show was taking place.

I can't believe there are any negative reviews for this show, we were a little worried because of their free child pass but we were not disappointed. The setting was amazing, our server was delightful, food was fantastic and the show was awesome. I went to another luau down the street a few years ago and this was far better in every way.

The entertainment was excellent; the musicians and dancers were great. The setting itself/production quality is was okay (hard to hear the people talking in the microphone and low number of performers - there wasn’t a lot of wow factor). The servers and bartenders were awesome and they really make sure you get plenty to drink. The food was generally good but with COVID restrictions you get what you get in terms of selection and amount (a little lack luster). The private tables were nice and social distancing was appropriate.nnThe major drawback was the cost; if the price for this experience was 40% less than we paid, it would have been amazing. Simply overpriced for an okay dinner/drinks and a good show.
