Great place to stay in Maui, my wife and I had an amazing time there, we booked a studio and it was roomy and clean! beds are very comfortable and shower and bath are amazing.nall staff members are super friendly.nthe only negative is that other guest to this hotel just take over all the tanning beds at the pool, leaves towel on the chairs, so if you do not get up at 6 AM good luck in getting a chair by the pool!nThe management have to control this issuenalso the hotel provide a super convenient shuttle to Lahaina town center and back!noverall great experience

One of the best Westin we stayed at. And we have been to may. The resort was newer and the setup is greatly for family.nnThey have BBQ areas and great pools as well as the beech area.nnThe staff are friendly and the food is decent at the restaurants. The only negative is the prices for the food seem to be very high compared to yeah other places. Overall this was a great resort.

I would recommend The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun or romantic trip to Maui. They have wonderful drinks at the bar, a beautiful pool and a very short distance to a beautiful sandy beach. Our rooms had everything we needed. The main room has a full kitchen, large shower & Jacuzzi. The add-on room has a kitchenette, a good sized shower & Jacuzzi. Both have balconies of their own and can be rented separately or together.

I have updated my rating to reflect an inconsistent product. After staying a week in room 5205 (an oceanfront studio) and enjoying our view immensely, we spent a night elsewhere on Maui, then decided to come back for two more nights to extend our vacation in another oceanfront studio room. Unfortunately, what we were put in was something that one could only define as oceanfront if new to the English language. Set back from the water by at least 100 yards with a view obstructed by not one, but two palm trees and facing the pool/bar area would not be considered as oceanfront, but rather partial ocean view, at any other hotel. The balcony experience in room 8306 is that of a daycare, complete with the shrieks and howls of children, until pool closure time in the evening. Completely the opposite of room 5205, where we regularly slept with the sliding door open to hear the waves and nothing else. It gets worse, though. I called down to the front desk to ask about a room change, as 8306, along with being nowhere near oceanfront, also smelled of stale smoke. No help or apology. Wouldn’t even put us in a lesser room so we didn’t have to face the pool or live with the stench. Only offered to send up a fan to air the room out. No thanks; that’d be as effective as peeing to put out a forest fire. Then we noticed there was no trash can in the kitchen. Called to get one, and they sent up a tiny bathroom trash can barely large enough for a tissue box to fit in. Guy who brought it up disappeared like a fart in the wind after knocking, so I never got the chance to correct this mistake. Then, I found a toenail from the previous guest on the tile floor (gross). At this point, I’m done dealing with the staff on duty at 8pm on a Sunday. They’ve clearly checked-out (pun intended). Sad that we had such a great experience staying in what is essentially classified as the same room, only to rebook it and end up in something completely different. Likely won’t return, as I have no idea which product I’ll end up getting here.

You can only blame COVID so much. Just so you know you don’t get maid service (since we had a Villa with a small kitchenette somehow it was considered residential and so no services were being provided!) Apparently the state wouldn’t allow maid service. No hot tub use either. Very few pool chairs, no tables outside to eat. Plenty of places nearby spread them around allowing you to social distance, but The Westin opted to just removed them. Hard to get reservations anywhere for dinner. Check that out before you book. It’s better to hold off on your vacation til they figure this out. They will tell you it’s the state or for your safety but this place is 80% booked with only 30% of its accommodations. Just try to get a cup of coffee in the morning that you didn’t brew in your room (that’s not restocked daily)...it’s impossible. They will bring you fresh towels, coffee what ever else you need and leave it out the door. It’s not worth the price we paid to be here. If this is how they have to operate than only occupy at 30%. We stayed down the street two nights before coming here and had a totally different experience. If it’s a hotel you still get daily services at least.
