Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa

WOW! This resort is absolutely beautiful! We just got here and I cannot wait to spend the next six days here. The views are breathtaking, the hotel gorgeous, the gardens are lovely and smell delightful. We went to the cliff dive bar last night and the food and drinks were great! Also the service and staff are AMAZING!nWe have an oceanfront room and I cannot even explain how beautiful it is. Sunset right from our patio!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Resort! The view of the sunset on their lobby deck is one of the best in Maui! Truly breathtaking. Our room was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff did a wonderful job and left our room clean and tidy every day. Highly recommend renting a casabella or pool chairs. Snorkeling right off the beach in front of the resort is amazing. We swam next to 2 sea turtles! Only a couple of the restaurants were open when we stayed but we didn’t plan on eating at the resort so that was not an issue for us. Location is unmatched! Truly felt like we were secluded because of the way Black Rock is situated. Staff was always friendly and helpful. We’d recommend staying here to anyone!

If you book a stay, you need to make sure to stay/pay for building 6 until all renovations are done in the resort. We got in at midnight and our assigned room in building 4 was not renovated or very clean. The people that work there are the best part! They understood and upgraded our room to a renovated one with a view. The assistant manager, James, is so good with customers. I appreciated his calm approach and customer-focused dedication. Thank you for an amazing experience! To the owners, please invest in more support for your team to clean and staff properly for the pandemic-grade requirements. Your people are what made this place great.nnOnce we got in our room, the balcony overlooked the water to families of whales every morning.

The location of this resort is great; the beach right alongside the hotel is almost perfect. Sandy beaches for swimming *and* a rocky section for snorkeling if you prefer that.nnThe hotel is alright. I liked the room; I used Suite Night Upgrades for the 1 bedroom suite, which was a good size for Kaanapali.nnA few issues with the resort:n- Towel service consistently runs out of towels, which to me isn’t acceptable for a pool/beach-oriented resortn- Cleanliness; the mattress was quite dirty and several other minor issues in the roomn- No hot tub in the pool area! That was quite a disappointing find.n- The elite Breakfast benefit isn’t great. $10 to upgrade to a hot breakfast.nnThe resort generally has that “fast food” of resorts vibe; not great service, crowded, but you know what you’re getting. Not a luxury experience, but they can get away with it given how nice the beach is!

My wife and I did not stay here, we had the unfortunate day of having our keys and phone locked inside our car. We were able to use the phone and wait on hold for over an hour with the key retrieval company.nnMarion and Irene, were amazing hosts and gave the best hospitality! Giving us water and warm towels while we waited another 2 hours for the truck to arrive to unlock our car.nnI wish I was lucky enough to stay here and in the future I look forward to it!
