Hyatt Regency Maui Resort And Spa

I really enjoyed my stay. While my check-in process wasn't the greatest, but the check-in person made up for the long wait and lack of crowd control at the check-in area.nnI stayed at the ocean-view king room and the view was worth the extra money. The room was recently renovated and it felt new. The room had decent amenity but I wish it had better coffee machine and a bath tube.nnFrom the balcony, you can easily view many whales breaching and swimming in the ocean. This alone is worth it. You also get to see beautiful sunsets. Since most of the rooms are east-facing, you also have very private area for sun tanning if you don't want to do it in the public area.nnOverall, I was very happy with my stay.

We had a lovely time! Highly recommend this resort. Restaurants had delicious food and service was wonderful. The rooms had been renovated, the bed was comfortable ND the pillows were not too stiff. We especially enjoyed all the wildlife! Baby ducklings and all!

Best parts of our trip:n1. Absolutely stunning hoteln2. free yoga/fitness in the morningn3. Kai Lani tent (expensive but worth it) and super helpful attendantn4. Penguins were fun to watch every dayn5. Remote location of the hotel is nice for less traffic to the pool and beach areannThings that could have been improved:n1. I called ahead and asked that our reservations could be combined however, when we checked in we had to wait an additional 15 mins while the check-in desk called somewhere else to get our reservations combinedn2. I called to let the front desk know that I'd like to have a lei on arrival since it was our honeymoon and my husband's first time to Maui. The person I called assured me that there would be a lei for each guest, when we arrived, there were none.n3. The restaurant options were low quality in our opinion compared to the rest of the resort area. We ate out for all our meals once we tried the food at Umalu and weren't satisfied. The drink prices were high as well compared to other places.n4. If you don't want to have to walk to the main restaurant area (about 0.5 mile walk), this place can be a bit out of the way

Great place to stay on Maui. Plenty to do for kids and all. Great pools and very good food to include Ululonie's. One exception being the overpriced not very good breakfast downstairs at the pond. Other than that, it was a most excellent place, with whales blowing, jumping, and diving just 100 yards off shore. Great picture taking with Lani in the back drop for sunsets, etc. Highly recommended.

This is a really nice place to visit if you are on kaanapali beach. It is a beautiful hotel with great birds and fountains. Very well maintained and welcoming to visitors to walk the lobby shops and fountains. Enjoy it!
