Myths of Maui luau

I can understand if it was raining that would make this not great. The evening we went was not raining and we all thought it was wonderful. Service was good and yes free drinks. Nice performance and the food was very good. Not 5 star chef good but still quite tasty. Everyone in my party thought it was worth the visit

This was my first time going to a luau and being in Hawaii. This was also the worst experience ever. I wish I could give it zero stars. I attended the luau on 3/16/21 in Maui. It had been raining all day there, so I called to see if the luau would be canceled. The receptionist said that it wasn’t canceled and it would still be going on. First of all, we didn’t enter into the luau until around 6 something, it started at 5:30. While standing in line they passed out rain ponchos, which didn’t helped at all. Once we finally sat down, it had already began to start pouring down raining. They did NOT provide any tents, sheds, or any table umbrellas. We were literally sitting down outside, in the open, in the rain. My friend and I were determined to get our money worth because they weren’t issuing out refunds. I got a plate of food and two drinks. Once I sat down to eat, I guzzled down my chicken, a little bit a macaroni and once I was done with that, my plate was drenched in rain. I couldn’t even eat my plate of food. My cup of liquor was filled with rain water. At that point my friend and I decided to leave. It was not worth it to eat a plate of food filled with rain, to be siting in the cold soaking wet and to risk getting sick. I honestly felt as if I was homeless, starving for a meal, and luckily found some food that was thrown in the garbage. Those few minutes in the luau, I felt like I had no dignity. It was very shameful. The luau should have been postponed for another day or moved to an inside location, or they should have gave everyone refunds. Clearly they were more concerned about the money. If you do choose this place for a luau, please make sure that the weather is nice.

I and my wife visited this on March 10 2021. It is our first time to a Luau and we were not disappointed. Everyone was welcoming, food was good, drinks were okay, show was very entertaining. We felt special as we went for our anniversary date and the host asked the audience if there are any couples celebrating their anniversary to standup. Then they played slow music and we had to dance for it and everyone wished us Happy Anniversary in native Hawaiian language.nnI would definately recommend this.

I went to the 3/16/21 show and it was pouring rain. Although they provided ponchos, it did not help. My plate of food was full of water, which made it impossible to eat. The performers were unable to perform for most of the show, because it was that much rain. The show should have been canceled as it was already raining earlier, but when speaking with them they said refunds would not be given despite the conditions. Sadly, it was my birthday and my first time in Maui and at a luau. After an hour of being drenched sitting in the rain, I had to leave; never having the experience of being at a luau. They really should invest in tents for future references or refund costumers for weather inconveniences. Seemed as though they only cared about the money and not about the reputation of the show or the comfort and safety of the audience. Do not book this luau unless you have $120-$170 to loose.

Brought my kids to it and we had a great time. Food was tasty, entertainment was well done, and the location was breathtaking. We all walked away feeling like it was money well spent and a night to remember!
