High Desert Museum

My car broke down on highway 97 and I managed to head into the museum turnoff. Someone working there saw me with the hood up and stopped to make sure I was okay. She then asked a maintenance worker to come and take a look, and he was very helpful despite the fact that it was very early and incredibly cold out! I have yet to go in the museum (everyone I know has loved it, so I will visit soon), but I know that the people working there are incredible! Thanks again!

I could have spent longer than the 3 hours I was able to it's so awesome! I had a ticket for 1:00 entry, not realizing it closed at 4:00. If you like museums you will thoroughly enjoy this place! Great displays and I so loved the RAPTORS!! Beautiful beautiful birds!

Pretty neat place with lots of exhibits that are updated regularly. The campus is very nice and they offer lots of community days so you don't have to pay full price. They also do a lot of work with the community and rescue injured animals. My kids always enjoy this place.nnWe just went today and I noticed that the children's play structure indoor has a huge shotgun shell sticking out of the side of it randomly. I posted a picture. I have no idea what the point of this is, but it is a bit strange. Come see for yourself!

The museum was very clean and well though out. The exhibits were much larger than I was expecting, it was very well done. The gift shop had a nice variety of merchandise and one of the employees gave us nice suggestions on what to do and what to eat for dinner that night. I would recommend to a friend any day!

So much fun. Had a great day here time definitely got away from us because around every corner was something fascinating. The otters were so adorable. A great place for kids of any age.
