Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sidney

Hotel was clean and nice but has some big issues. There was no internet, nor anyone working the front counter. I stayed there for 2 nights and didn't once see another person at the hotel. There were 2 vehicles in the parking lot including mine. Hot tub and pool drained. No mention of this at all when booking .

Great stay, clean rooms, staff very pleasant, and some snacks for sale by the front desk. That one I always enjoy.

What a bizarre hotel. Normally these are the kind of reviews I leave on places that aren’t true and are just for comedic purposes, but everything in this review is real.nnWhere do I begin? When we arrived to our first room, it seemed all fine, until we tried out the water and discovered that hot water was not an amenity included in our room. So, we transferred a floor up, into our new room. We thought the new room was great! Until we found a crack pipe. And dirty underwear. None of which were ours, obviously.nnBut the weirdness doesn’t stay at our room, no it does not. For starters, it was kinda neat that we were the only people staying here for the majority of our stay. I think the max amount of people here with us was 5, and that was just when we arrived, because we stayed for two nights. The front desk lady was nice when she was here, she worked not only the front desk at this hotel, but also the hotel across the street. If I’m correct, I only saw about 5 different staff members here total, and there was never a given point where more than 2 of them were actually AT the hotel.nSecondly, the entire fourth floor is dark. Which for someone like me, is cool! Until multiple things start to freak you out up there, like the inconsistent lack of electricity. There is a light switch in a room supposed to be fourth floor laundry, but it doesn’t do anything, making me and the homies believe that the electricity was out. However, the elevator still worked on the floor (obviously), but the door handles either flashed red or didn’t flash at all. This makes me think that either the doors have separate batteries (which they probably do), but what makes me believe it may not be the case was the apparent presence of electricity coming from the wide-open staff only room, which, creepily enough, had not a lot more than just a scarecrow mounted on the wall. Upon entering the fourth floor later in the day, I discovered a horrible constant noise of someone doing something, but, being a scaredy cat, left immediately, and didn’t see what it was. I’ll say this, it sounded like every door on the fourth floor was opening and closing at the same time, although that assuredly was not what it was.nnIn conclusion? This was really weird. Good in... well... and bad in others, but overall super weird. Do I regret my stay? Not really, but I feel like if we had looked any deeper than we did, we would have seen something we really shouldn’t have.

For the money it is a very good place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I'll be staying there when our of town on business.

Would have easily given this place a 5-star rating if it wasn't for the fact that the walls and ceiling are so thin you can easily hear your neighbors.
