Bear Lake State Park East Beach camping is an off the beaten track gem. Every campsite has a view of the lake, mountains and sunset.nBest for campers with awnings to make some shade for hot summer days but there is usually a cool breeze and starry sky in the evenings.nCudoes to the ranger Andy and the team for keeping the site clean, maintained and welcoming.nIts quite wonderful to camp right next to the “Carribean of the Rockies!“
We're at Bear Lake State Park on the east side in Idaho. Beautiful area, and the water is exactly what they claim. Beautiful aqua blue and turquoise. Beaches up north and east are very sandy and wonderful. Can walk out in the water over 100 yards and still be in waist deep water. Camp sites are very nice and decently spread out. We'll come back for sure.
Shallow water for a long ways out. It doesn't take long to get used to the water. It's good for kids and adults alike. Fishing available if you can get out far enough. Bring plenty of sun block in those summer months. North Beach is a first come first serve w/ second opening at three. East end is a state refund campground to make reservations at. All in all good weekend recreation.
The best beach and campground at Bear Lake! Clear and shallow water that goes far out. Less crowded and plenty of parking. Birds and rabbits are so chill here and are fearless.
This place has been our go to for our family reunion for years and hopefully will be for years to come. The sites are well kept and the staff is great to deal for the most part... occasionally we get the run around...this year by Ranger Noorda who was less than spectacular. Seems to be getting more and more crowded but the staff does their best.
