This site is very hard to get to from the Colorado River side. There is no trail. You must climb out of a steep sided wash with lots of loose rocks. The climb can be very dangerous and is not a good place for children. Once you are on the playa it is an easy walk to the Intaglios. The geoglyphs are not protected by a fence but they are in remarkably good shape. The cross which resembles a Templar Cross is very visible and is in a circle about 10 feet across. It may represent a shield that the Man is holding. The glyph that appears to be a man is about 50 feet tall and has a small head and long arms and legs. There appears to be another human like figure standing next to the first one but it has seen better days. Lots of other smaller sites in the area. Well worth the climb and the hike. Great view of the Colorado River and Palo Verde, Valley. We saw a large Mule deer on the playa and Mountain Tracks in the wash.
