You buy their products and then when something's brakes they can't help you for up to 4 weeks. .

I have had THE MOST exasperating experience with a Sears Kenmore stand-alone ice maker. Frankly I will never buy another Sears product ever. I can see after reading customer reviews that I am not the only one fed up with Sears and their non-existent customer service, both nationally and locally. The only reason I continue this effort is because I paid for a 5-year warranty and foolishly I expect it to be honored.nnI bought a $2,012.26 ice maker with a pump already in the machine and a 5-year warranty on 1/12/16 which expires on 1/12/21 at my local Sears in Taos, NM.nnSince then I have had the compressor replaced twice. Once in 2016 which took three months to complete and again in 2018 which also took three months. Each time I had absolutely no use of the machine for 6 months total. In 2017 the pump failed and was finally replaced after quite a battle with Sears and them saying that I purchased the pump separate from the machine which is evident that is not the case by the itemized purchase receipt. The pump cost me another 4 months of either using the machine and mopping up water every day or no use at all. I chose no use after the first month rather than mopping water daily. After a ridiculous amount of back and forth with Sears Repair “customer service”, a final decision that it was not covered I was told I had no further recourse with Sears Repair I went back to my local Sears and manager Drew contacted his regional manager and I got a new pump under warranty.nnNow I am having the same problem with the pump again which started February 20, 2019. I have had no use of the machine for going on another 3 months. I have been getting the run around from Sears yet again. On April 18 Sears refused D&S the ability to replace the pump under warranty with the exact same reason that I added the pump after market and is not covered by the warranty. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. On that same day I stopped by local Sears and left Drew a message on what was happening and asked for a call back. Nothing. On April 19 at 4:45 p.m. I called local Sears and told the person answering the phone that I was going to come down and sit in the store until Drew provided me an update. He called me later after I made that call. He stated he emailed Sears Repair to contact me directly. No contact. I sent Drew 2 videos on April 20. No response. I sent Drew an email on April 22 asking if he got the videos. No response. I called D&S to see if anything had changed. No change. On April 23 I stopped by Sears again and visited with Drew. He had not seen my email with the videos, so I showed him on my phone. He sent another email to Sear Repair to contact me directly. On April 26 I sent Drew yet another email asking for his regional managers contact information. Here I sit on April 29 with no response from any Sears representative.
