This is awesome!n„516 ARTS is a non-collecting contemporary art museum in the center of Downtown Albuquerque that celebrates thought-provoking art in the here and now. Our mission is to connect contemporary artists and diverse audiences... ” - all these are written on the site of a very provocative museum so I have to go there, I've saved this cultural and artistic objective for a future trip, for some better days than now - September 2020.nIt looks amazing, bravo!nPS: I've added here pictures from their site - artworks of those great artists who made exhibitions there...

Do not miss a chance to see every exhibition (and program) produced by this stellar organization. The space lends itself to outstanding shows with multiple materials, including video and sound installations. The program is savvy and contemporary and yet it is thoughtful and socially conscious. This is a special place in Albuquerque.

This place is a remarkable Albuquerque catch. Rotating exhibits on all manner of topics (usually group shows) that work to prod thought. Sometimes more clever than inspired, but always interesting. Go.

516 is a fantastic resource and anchor for contemporary art, both in Downtown Albuquerque and in the region.nnOver the last decade the team there has consistently worked with local, national, and international artists to create installations that are thought provoking, relevant, and consistently executed across a variety of mediums, incl. visual arts, mixed media, sculpture, street art & murals, and more.nnIn addition to hosting exhibitions, in the last few years they've deeply engaged with other arts organizations and anchors, as well as piloting and growing the Andy Warhol Foundation For The Visual Arts' Fulcrum Fund, which supports independent, artist-led projects and spaces, and is an important add to the arts ecosystem in New Mexico. Definitely recommend a visit!
