I booked my room over the phone with Robyn. She was so nice and accommodating. Robyn also made sure to reserve the nicest room in the hotel. It had a balcony overlooking the grand lake and a fireplace. When we arrived, the smoke from wildfires affected the area and we had to leave, Robyn was really understanding and we got the full refund for the remaining nights. We are definitely coming back to that place! Highly recommended! I wish we didn’t have to cut our trip short...

Love the rooms and the main areas!!! I grew up in CO and now live in TX and wanted to make this a fun trip for the entire family from what I remembered as a kid. Boy, did this hotel hit the spot!! Super nice staff! The rooms are very fund and decorated to make it feel very much like a cabin or mountain-esque. They did a nice job with the new hot tub, which we always used at night. The hotel bar/restaurant has a fantastic deck overlooking the lake and the surrounding mountains. We had dinner there our last night and I highly recommend the same for anyone else staying in Grand Lake!

I always enjoy my stay at Gateway. Very clean rooms and the staff is very friendly. I do pay the little extra to say on the side with the mountain views, because of course, stunning!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Beautiful view from our room. The hotel feels like a large log cabin. We had an awesome time and will return... our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the Troublesome fire and we hope to be able to return to the hotel and see Todd the Red fox again.

The hotel was wonderful! The room was rustic and basic, but the wrap around terrace and restaurant were amazing. In these days of the corona virus, the deck had individual tables spaced far apart with a view of the lake. Many tables had fire pits in the center, and extra heaters were available to make this a perfect and safe dinner spot for a cool late summer or fall night.
