Beautiful gardens. The house itself was closed but the grounds and gardens were open. We went in mid-February so not too much blooming except the whole dandelion field which looked beautiful. They have a small cafe and even a mimosa stand in the house's courtyard which was quite fun.nnWould be a good location for a first date, or outdoor activity with friends if you wanted to catch up.

Filoli is something that you don't really find on the west coast: a stately old-fashioned manor with a garden. The grounds are always impeccably kept, with flower present most of the time but peaking in the spring. The inside is well-restored and shows off a style of life you expect to find more in the English countryside than in California. If you're looking to learn about California's history but tired of looking at missions and gold mines, this is a fun diversion

My grand-daughters and I walked all over the gardens and Estate Trail after school. We enjoyed the beautiful, sunny weather, with very few people. It was a glorious and a really fun day. It was the best time to come to Filoli Gardens. My grand-daughters had lots of questions that were answered by the friendly and helpful staff.

Awesome gardens. The house is very pretty, just a little bit dusty. The ballroom was incredible and the volunteers were awesome. My only regret was that I did not have more time to walk through all the gardens. Lovely gift shop as well.

I loved visiting the gardens and trails of Filoli recently with all of the spring flowers in bloom. There was social distancing and masks required and my partner and I chose not to go in to the house, though it has re-opened with distancing and a limited number of people at a time inside.nnThe field of daffodils was so huge it made us feel like we were viewing a painting come to life. The orchards give way to camellias of all sorts on patios and then fields give way to formal pool and statuary. There was a bonsai exhibit and reflecting pool, potted plants and trees and shrubs of all manner. Everything was perfectly cared for and abundant.nnThe short, 1 mile estate trail walk meandered through oak, redwood, pine and madrone as well as other tree wooded areas. We passed a nature center and did pop in on that to view the displayed animal and bird and reptile species in glass cases. There was a tractor and hayfield area and large meadow as well as redwood circle with a natural wood bench that felt secluded.nnDefinitely a place to go multiple times throughout a year to see the plantings and trees change as different items bloom or fade. Well worth the visit. We spent a couple of hours there.
