Ever since I’ve met Linda, I’ve known art to be central to her life. I’m a small collector and in a position to offer advice to artists, so I appreciate Linda’s ‘business head’ about art. She often knows market prices or where to research them, how to evaluate possible art acquisitions and think through matters like framing, cleaning, placement. Some of the art world pitfalls she has made me aware of have been worth hundreds of dollars of savings for me and my clients. I trust her professionalism and high standards
OK... Linda is my sister, truth be told. Linda is the smarter, and the talent in the family. For years, Linda has been committed to her passion of exploring, understanding and sharing her vast knowledge with family and friends resulting in numerous referrals for the arts in San Francisco. Every walk in the city is new and interesting, every gallery is keenly researched as you get straight to 'the good stuff''. The last statement should prove my earlier point, the degree of my culture. Linda is a good listener, and is able to help broaden your thinking, examination and perceptions of the artist or cityscape. Well worth the time and investment. She is also a good person, with a sense of humor.nEnjoy!
Linda and I share a mutual love of art and we often find ourselves talking about it at length. I love touring museums with Linda because the conversation never stops. Our time in the museum together gives each of us a chance to share the things we like (or don’t) and in the always lively process increase each other’s art awareness. The last show I took in with Linda was the Legion of Honor’s British Works on Paper 1760-1900 where we saw some of the very landscapes I remembered from my childhood years in England. I love that Linda is organized and sensitive to people’s viewing wishes and that she can take them with brio right to the art that will stir them.
We could not be more pleased with our art gallery and museum tours with Linda and her small tour company, Regarding Art SF.nnShe really brought San Francisco art to life for us. She is incredibly knowledgeable, has so much experience in the field, and has the pleasant disposition to really explain things so we developed a new relationship with not only the art but the City of SF!nnWe visited the de Young and the Asian Art Museum and could not have experienced them in such lovely way without Linda's guidance and expertise. Worth every penny if you really want to learn about art the right way!
I’m not a museum person, so I love that Linda offers some hiking tours. Nearly every time I’m in San Francisco I take her Presidio tour. It’s a great way to get outside, learn some San Francisco and art history, and really take in the beauty of the Bay Area. Then, in turn, I enjoy seeing Linda on one of her many art-viewing trips to New York; I should say, after she has been to all the museums and galleries. I did go to the opening of the new MoMA in New York with her because modern art is Linda’s great love. She was delightful and did her best to clue me in, but, oh my….
