This station desperately needs a parking garage. As soon as the larger lot was opened a few years ago, the slots ($6/day) were filled to capacity. . Another 60 spots are planned in 2020 (you can see the environmental waiver documents online) but I'm sure those will not be enough. Mass transit brings so many benefits, but people have to be able to GET TO IT.
Always clean. Long platform,nOnly 1 schedule posted.nElectronic board announcing departure and destination clearly visible.nCan purchase tickets on train.nDo NOT Park on Street. You will get towed.
Typically zero parking after 635 am or you get to park in the gravel and get backed into. Bonus points for the train running late. Mbta= trash. Parking has been filled for years and yet nothing changes, just like the MBTA. Highly recommend you move closer to Boston or get out of MA all together. Oh and don't even think of parking on the grassy areas in front. You can occasionally squeeze into the areas around walking paths and I have not seen tickets issued for this.
Clean, relatively new station on the Fitchburg line. I live in Acton, but prefer going to the Littleton station where I can find parking and get a seat on the train. Parking costs less than Acton and it's almost impossible to get a seat.
Pretty clean for a train station and you can't beat the FREE parking. The only issues I have had with it is that the parking fills up quickly and once it's gone, there aren't any overflow parking areas as well as the train sometimes loads from the opposite side and they don't tell you when (at least not that I've ever seen), so if you're arriving as the train pulls up you're too late. They might open the doors on your side if you're lucky, but they give you dirty looks or say something mean. They should post which side the train loads from clearly.
