Bedford Police Department

I’m normally a huge police supporter. Common sense tells me it can’t be an easy job. I don’t normally do reviews but i feel compelled to do this one because I feel like “drumming up business” is not the way to go. What I mean is the people in charge requiring a quota be reached for tickets. Seriously? Why? I guess to justify their existence. Police in this town get paid well for what could happen and/or what their presence stops from happening. My friend received a speeding ticket and the officer basically apologized for writing the ticket and actually confirmed the quota. No one was around and the speed wasn’t even close to being overly excessive. She was polite, car was legal and certainly called for a verbal warning if there was ever the case for one. I was the front passenger. I’m so disappointed. This department should be better than that.

Thank you to the Bedford Police Dept and Chief Padilla! When my Brother In Law, a retired Sergeant with the Bronxville Police Department passed away the end of August, Bedford came out in force to show their respect for their fallen brother! My sister was truly appreciative of the respect that Bedford PD had shown for the Love of her Life! I wanted to acknowledge this simple act of kindness that seems to be missing at this time in our lives!

I’ve been a business owner in Bedford Hills for 27 years lucky I’ve only needed to call twice in all of those years. They were quick to respond and extremely kind and professional thankful to have them near by...

They don't have much confidentiality and when they actually are receiving a real case, they blow it in the direction of 'he said/she said' when the person coming in is literally handing over their mobile phone which has all the text messages of proof that they clearly aren't safe and needed more than one police guy calling the # saying to stop and the person didn't even pick up.nConvicted felons should be prosecuted.nPeriod.

With growing up in the area, I have fond memories of Bedford PD. My mother in law worked at the clerks office, I met many if the Police, were always there helping. Many have retired but always held z high standard to help. Thank you for your services
