Lewiston Police Department

Lots of One stars for this Police Department and I totally agree... A joke, some of these guys not only do not know the law, but attempt to aggravate a situation with their own drama and non sense.... You all deserve the piddly pay you make

To call these people police is a blasphemy. They are marshmallow cops. They don't know the law, show up 20 minutes later, at best, drive around until they're absolutely sure there's nobody about that could shoot them, and then deliberately minimize whatever has happened so they can dumb down a police report. call the State Police, every time. In short, we have no protection in this town; none. I repeat, none.

Town of Lewiston Police Officer showed up at my home, and barged in without indicating who he was or what he wanted. He was rude, belligerent, and demanded information regarding a lawsuit I had filed against a neighbor and the Town, insisting that I couldn't contact my neighbor with a Notice of Claim because it was harassment. He literally suggested I had broken the law by mailing letters notifying of trespass, etc., The guy was so clueless it was scary. For anyone who might experience this violation, which incidentally is a civil rights violation, complaints were filed with the State, the District Attorney, and the Public Integrity Bureau, as well as the original lawsuit expanded to include police misconduct. I agree with another poster here, beware of the marshmallow cops.
