Cortland Police Department

I was staying at the best western last night. At 9pm a bunch of hockey parents were in the lobby drinking and being extremely loud. They were allowing their kids to run while screaming up and down the halls and stairwells. So it was annoying at 9 even though I was trying to go to sleep. But by 10:30 pm they were asked to quieten down because other guest also had to be up by 6 am. I also had asked them to quieten down because I had to be up by 5 am. Myself and others called the front desk of the hotel several times to complain. The owners asked them to be quite as well. By 11:30 they were still partying with their children still running a muck and a grown man was in the hall playing hockey hitting his stick and puck against the walls and doors. Again they were asked to stop and quieten down and they ignored everyone. So I called this police dept. What a joke! They arrived laughed and chatted with the people and they got even louder. Then the cops just left. Didn’t talk to me, nothing. Do you have any idea what time I finally got to go to sleep?! 2am and I had to be up by 5 am. Thank you so much for looking out for the drunken disrespectful, rude hockey parents and their poor children.

Complete joke. Very disrespectful. Called to ask about parking policies and was told it wasn't their problem and that they couldn't answer my questions. What kind of government official can write parking tickets but not answer a simple question. This is why people lose respect for cops.

Every time I have called about the drug house next door, threats, etc... the officers are condescending and act as though I have done something wrong. They have never done anything about anything. I am going to call them now about a noise complaint after 11 pm and bet they wont do a thing!!

Officer Morse was very helpful and kind to me in a time of great emotional trauma. Thank you so much.

Most of the police officers here are okay, but Sgt. Rowland is a real a-hole.
