Very cool local historic site. Guide was very knowledgeable. My family loves local history so for us it was an awesome thing to do when we had a free afternoon. Plus, close to Somerville and a lot of other interesting sites.
New curator trying to make history fun had a notebook where people would write copy of a letter written by George Washington also had old games ,but not allowed to take pictures
This is a truly important historic site for anyone interested in the American Revolution. Washington slept here--for many months. The home was grand in its day, and retains its authentic character.
Raw piece of history in the middle of NJ. It is incredible place! You literally have your hands on household items from 18th century and walk in the rooms where George Washington dwelled in 1778! Admission is free but you have to call ahead of time and schedule a guided tour.
Great historical place to tour. New Jersey has to increase the maintenance especially of the Old Dutch Parsonage.
