Two years ago I traveled from this station on a round trip to and from Boston. I was 16 at the time. Nowhere did they make it clear that unaccompanied minors weren’t allowed to travel, and yet I and my friends were treated excessively rudely by two conductors on our way back. The worse of the two was named Paul from what I remember. We were polite to him, and explained our situation, but this seemed to make no difference because he forced us to contact our parents in order to show him a form of ID. This was relatively late at night, so not everyone’s parents were awake. This didn’t seem to make a difference for Paul. I understand that the conductors were doing their jobs, but we weren’t harassed on the initial ride to Boston. If they had asked us politely to work with them, the entire process would have gone much smoother. At any rate, Paul seems to be representative of a class of resentful, mean spirited, and ultimately cowardly Bureaucrats. 1/5, would not recommend for people with any self esteem.

There is nothing physically wrong with this place. Still, I live across the street and cannot find a reason to take the train, as opposed to the bus. The bus is cheaper, clean, comfortable, and runs hourly, 24 hours a day. There are 4 or 5 bus departures for every train departure. The bus runs directly to Logan and South Station. While someone occasionally might find North Station handy, for most trips, Logan and South Station are more useful destinations.

Thank you for unlocking doors again!nnHave to take 2buses home and usually have to wait over a half hour for second bus. A few bad apples spoil the bunch! I now can not wait in between double doors to block the wind and now have to freeze outside. After you have worked hard all day that is really not helpful considering I have to do this 5 days a week!
