The lobby is in good shape, but during the quarantine it was unusable and that is the best part of the hotel building. The staff was very kind and helpful, although I don't see how them touching my coffee cup is better for me for breakfast. It would be better if they said no breakfast. The rooms are getting old, and my window wasn't able to shut completely - which is a huge issue since the hotel is right next to the freeway. The nights were very loud. I woke up both nights because cars nearby were driving absolutely crazy. One truck downstairs was just revving its engine for awhile. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very nice, and the room layout was very nice. The last day we were there, there was a huge snowstorm and they didn't plow the parking lot, so it was a mess. When I was using the stairs to get down from the top level, I was smelling so much weed and cigarette smoke from the other hallways. It was not a good stay and I wouldn't stay there again because of all the other great options in the city.
First off this Hotel has a great proximity to Creighton University so at least while I have a student there I will likely be back. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful and clearly want you to have the best stay possible. The rooms are clean and acceptable, but things are a bit simple, tired, and worn. Overall the things they have in their in their immediate control are in a pretty good state.nnHOWEVER... I had issues and multiple concerns during my last visit. As others mention the floors smell of weed and 2 of the 3 nights of our stay we had to deal with very loud neighbors that partied, slammed doors, ran up and down the stairs to get indirect hidden access ,and made noise until 3-4 in the morning. They have a non-smoking policy, however it does not seem that it is enforced. These are unacceptable issues in a hotel of this class. This is not a Motel 6. And these are still not the big problem!nnThe most concerning problem is the growing and thriving homeless camp directly out there front door of the hotel. Directly across the street and on the exit ramps, medians, and right of ways. There was a constant rotating population of at least a dozen panhandlers and beggars actively building shelters, sleeping and rolling around in their own trash, and openly smoking pot and I’m sure using other drugs. They did not come onto the hotel property that I saw, but being directly across from the entrance is mass still is not what you want to see and does not make you feel safe. Speaking of things you do not want to see, we had a great view of downtown from the 6th floor. That is not the issue but the toilet tree and toilet paper up on the hill directly next to the camp and in our direct line of sight to downtown certainly is a problem. If you were lucky enough you might get to see a homeless dude “drop trow” right in front of you. See the uploaded photos, homeless guy I caught in the act for all to see.nnAs I said this issue might be out of the direct control of the hotel, but when it comes to the health and safety concerns of their customers they really need to press the City and the police to step in. I will update on how this looks next time I am back in Omaha.
Place felt a little run down compared some other Four Points we’ve been to but it was still nice. Clean, no bugs, easy to find. The pandemic grab and go bags had HUGE muffins as a plus. With a good renovation this would be a really great hotel, but I’d stay here again even so.
Worse hotel ever! I have never stayed at a hotel that was rated so highly but when you get to it is not nice like the pictures show or how people rated this place. The customer service is awful. They don’t come clean your room which is not put on the website which is one reason to stay in a hotel. If I could give it zero stars I would. You have to take your own trash out. I mean what hotel does that?!? The lady on night duty was awful customer service I tried to buy some Tylenol for a head ache she didn’t seem to care to help me. If you want new towels you have to go down to lobby to get them. Went to the lobby to get some the front desk lady said “hold on I am texting I will get them in a minute.” The heater makes the loudest noises. I never ever will stay at this hotel again. Also, so many other guest talked with us about how awful this hotel is.
Cons: 1. Neighborhood was questionable (dark- no good lighting, it is off the freeway so you get that type of environment), Iuckly I was with my husband or I wouldn't come here alone with my kids. I should of done a Google street view before coming here.n2. **Marijuana smell throughout the hotel! What is up with that?! I seen another review reporting the same.** Rooms have no easy accessible outlets or USB ports, our bathroom outlet looked like there was metal blocking the ports so I couldn't plug anything in there. Big bummer. 1& 2 were a big influence on my decision to not come here again. Overall, the pictures of the hotel are great but in person, not very professional or classy...a little too casual for a Sheraton.nnPros: Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, refrigerator in room, & big flat screen TV.
