Hastings Police Department

The building was once an older School no longer being used and the city bought it and reconstruct it into the police station. I liked it location for it as it is in a very busy part of the city. The building is large enough that it offers a lot of growth for the police department.

Centrally located, easily accessible. Does have an elevator and off-street parking. The building itself is pretty old, as it used to be at Public elementary school at one time.

Called in about a noise complaint . They had a patrol car drive by within 10 mins .but no officer stopped to ask where the noise was coming from . Maybe next time they will

I moved to Hastings just under 3 years ago,.. and I have had 3 encounters with Hastings Police Dept. All 3 of them were positive! Today as I was leaving Lakeside Church after a funeral, an officer placed a call to my daughter for me. I was distressed after finding that I had locked the keys in my car! Thank you, officer! Another incident was to report an auto break-in of my at my residence,.. the 3rd incident was an embarrassing incident where I had accidentally driven off after getting gas at a local station, thinking it had accepted my credit card,.. and it HADN'T! The officer called on me at my home, and was very helpful in explaining my situation and accompanied me back to the filling station to pay for my gas. I want the Hastings community to know that I have appreciated the police department here,.. and I want to give a shout-out to the department!
